People, on the road of their lives, always look for happiness. But it is very abstract and complicated definition and people can not explain clearly about it. More than that, there is controversial question about the condition for a happy life. Someone say money is the assurance, others think good health is more important. But where is the truth?

But researchers found that people’s health and tobacco use have a link, a negative one. This link is studied by researchers every year, and every year they find more and more negative effects which can have smoking. For example, Harvard researchers first revealed that life and health insurance companies were major investors in tobacco market.

Most of these companies are US, Canadian and British life and health insurance companies which have invested billions of dollars in tobacco companies.

Wesley Boyd, Director of Marketing and Applications Engineering, found that at least 4.4 billion dollars in insurance company funds are invested in companies whose affiliate branches produce cigarettes, cigars and chewing tobacco.

Mr. Boyd said: "In spite of calls upon the insurance industry to get out of the tobacco business by physicians and others, assurers continue to put their profits overhead people's health. It's clear their top priority is making money, not safeguarding people's well-being".

Tobacco can only harm smokers and even nonsmokers’ health, although the countries incomes rise thanks to tobacco business. World Health Organization reported that tobacco use is a contributing factor in 5.4 million deaths a year.

According to a recent study, US insurer Prudential Financial Inc. has 264.3 million dollars invested among three US tobacco companies, including Reynolds America and Philip Morris.

But Canadian insurer Sun Life Financial Inc., which sells life, impotence and health insurance, has a stock portfolio with more than one billion dollars in two tobacco companies, including 890 million dollars in Philip Morris.

Another insurance company, Prudential Plc, which sell health and disability insurance, has 1.38 billion dollars in two tobacco companies, including British American Tobacco.

The study also specified the importance of tobacco investments of the US firms Northwestern Mutual and Massachusetts Mutual Life, and the Scottish firm Standard Life Plc.

This study showed that Health Insurance Companies consider that tobacco is money which makes their life better, and if there is money then there is health too.
